Most "AI agencies" are reselling the same off-the-shelf chatbot to anyone with a credit card. Ona AI is the opposite. Two founders, one tailor-made agent per business, a direct line of support — and a refusal to ship anything generic.

The founders

Hi — we're Adam & John.

We co-founded Ona AI from Glasgow because we kept watching small UK service businesses lose real money to missed calls, slow WhatsApp replies and DMs sitting in shared inboxes. Not because the owners didn't care — but because nobody can be on the phone at 9pm on a Tuesday when a customer's deciding which garage to call in the morning.

The "AI" market for small business is full of shiny demos and identical chatbots. We wanted to build the opposite — agents that sound like you, qualify leads the way you would, and book straight into the calendar you already use.

So that's what Ona AI does. Every agent is built from scratch with you. No two are the same.

What we believe

Three rules we won't break.

Tailor-built or nothing.

Every agent is designed around your business — your tone, your services, your qualifying logic. We don't ship templates with your name pasted on top.

You speak to the builder.

When something needs tweaking, you message me directly. No tickets, no account managers, no "I'll have to check with engineering."

The maths has to work.

If an agent isn't recovering more than it costs, it's the wrong tool. Every build starts with a free audit so we both know the numbers before any money changes hands.

Who we work with

UK service businesses that are great at the job — and bad at picking up the phone.

We're a fit if you can recognise yourself in this:

  • You're a UK-based service business — trades, gyms, clinics, salons, garages, lettings, anyone whose enquiries come by phone, WhatsApp or DM.
  • You know you're missing leads outside hours, but hiring a receptionist is a sledgehammer for the job.
  • You've tried (or considered) an off-the-shelf chatbot and it felt embarrassingly generic.
  • You'd rather pay slightly more for something built around your business than a fraction of the price for something that isn't.
Where we are

Built in Glasgow. Working across the UK.

Ona AI is registered in Scotland. Most clients are within an hour of the M8, but everything's done remotely — calls, Looms, shared docs — so where you are doesn't change the price or the timeline.

Working hours generally 9–6 GMT, but if your agent's playing up at 11pm on a Friday, you can text Adam. That's the deal.
